Client challenge

Payroll in Tunisia is rule-heavy: CNSS declarations, IRPP brackets, bonuses, benefits in kind and a stack of mandatory documents. Most small and mid-sized companies still run it in spreadsheets or ageing desktop software, re-keying the same employee data every month and checking calculations by hand.

What I built

I built SmartPaie, a multi-tenant SaaS that keeps the whole payroll cycle in one workspace — from the company and employee files to time tracking, payroll calculation, control and the final payslip. A React front end sits on a Nest.js API and PostgreSQL, shipped in Docker containers through a GitHub Actions pipeline.
