Client challenge

Workforce’s financial data lived in Exact Online, but only a few people could find their way around the accounting system. Everyone else waited for exported spreadsheets to see period results, and every new question meant another manual export and reformat.

What I built

I built an invitation-only reporting dashboard for internal teams. n8n workflows pull ledger data from the Exact Online API, map it into the company’s reporting scheme and cache it, and a Next.js front end presents balance sheet and profit-and-loss statements by period.

• Exact Online API integration through n8n, with an 8-hour data cache
• 718 general-ledger mappings rolled up into 146 reporting classifications
• Combined, balance sheet and profit & loss views across all twelve periods
• Built-in accounting control that confirms the statements balance
• Search by account code, collapsible account hierarchy and one-click Excel export
• Secure, invitation-only sign-in with reports assigned per user
